What is this insanity? It was pouring down last night but I still put on my running gear and went out for my w5r1 run. Dodging the cats/dogs/stair-rods that were falling all around me I ploughed on through and found that I actually really like running in the rain. The sheer madness of it plus the freshness of the air actually distracted me from thinking too much about the running and whether or not I'd run out of puff.
Do they make waterproof trainers? I think I need some if this proclivity for running in the rain stays with me.
I was so wet when I got home that I had to pour half a swimming pool out of my trainers and wring out my undies (too much info I know). W5r2 tomorrow ... may it POUR.

Well done for running last night, the weather was awful here - that's dedication!
Know what you mean about pouring a swimming pool out of your trainers... the footpaths I run on have turned into rivers!
The other good thing about running in the rain is that I have to concentrate more on where I'm putting my feet so I don't slip over - and I focus less on how tired I'm feeling (although it does slow me down a bit)
