Erm. A stopwatch and a mental copy of the plan of each weeks run from the nhs website. Not sure how else other than to buy an mp3 player. Just checking You don't have anyother type of smartphone?)

An mp3 player may be a worthwhile investment. I got mine for the equivalent of about 6 pounds. It is a cheapie, and nothing special, but it does the job. And you will probably find that having an mp3 player in general is handy. Another source for free/low cost mp3 players would be to borrow/get an older smart phone from someone who has upgraded. The phone won't work without a phone plan, but the mp3 player function should.

Guess I'll check into investing in one. Thanks for the responses.

I didn't have a player either. I bought an MP3 for £6.99 plus P&P from Amazon and it works perfectly. So small it goes into my backpocket. Kids say it's not very high tech and I shouldn't be so excited about it - but it's great! Look up Swees 4gb MP3 - it arrived almost immediately too!

I never knew until I wanted to do C25k, but my unsmart phone would in fact play MP3s, only room for two podcasts but fine for what I needed. I use the radio and the stopwatch now.
