Is Couch to 5K a program to get started running? And if so, where is the information to get started?

If you have an Ipod/Iphone go into iTunes Store and in search box put in NHS C25K and download podcasts from there to your library.

If you have an PM3 player go into the NHS site and download files from there onto your computer, I think you have to open these before you can upload to your MP3 player as they will be zipped files. Hope this helps :)

Yes, this is THE program to start running. It's great - try reading the blogs on the site. I started two weeks ago, going from no sport for decades to running 3 minutes today. It really works and is life-transforming. Good luck.

Thanks all. I'm starting at 51. Stopped smoking cigerettes about a month ago and ready to move forward to gain a heathier lifestyle. Don't know if I'll be any good at it, but how hard can it be? Right? Got to start somewhere....

Silvershoes - I'm 51 too and have never run before too. I'm on week 3. Let us know how you get on. After the first run you'll feel probably completely wasted and fantastic at the same time. Good luck!
