if using treadmill what speed have you got the walk set at mine is about 3.2 for the brisk walk and 4.3 for the jog/run is this enough?

There is no right or wrong speed, run at whatever speed is challenging enough to push you but not too fast that you can't finish. Its much better to go slow and get to the than to go fast and fail to get to the end.

The plan is to get you running for 30 minutes no to be able to storm the field in a 5km race. Lots and lots of us don't manage to run 5km in 30 minutes but we keep plugging away at it trying to go further or longer.

Good luck, don't worry about your speed and keep running :)

thnks mirella.after loosing 5stone and 8ib in nearly 2 yrs. (will be 2 yrs in sept) .got a coup[le of more to loose so am going to do my best at this. ;)

Wow thats a wonderful weight loss, well done you. I would agree that the speed can be worked on once you have completed the programme and can jog for 30 minutes without stopping. By the way you have tackled your weight loss you will have no problem with finishing C25K. :)

I do mine on the treadmill, I walk at about 3, and I run at 4.5 or 5 depending how I feel :) and I am just trying to finish week 9 atm, and struggling, but I will get there in the end!

ive just done my 2nd run of wk3.wow at week 9 keep it up.im trying my best to.
