I have been steadily working through week 9 and tomorrow is due to be my graduation run. As I have mentioned before, I really want to nail 5k in the 30 mins as I have a target of running the British 10k in July in around an hour. The last two 30 min runs I did 4.37 and 4.58km respectively. adding about 200m on each run (each a last tough effort to push through the pain as Laura says in the last few minutes!) I live in the Chilterns which is hilly so there is little chance of a run totally on the flat, so I have to run with inclines and declines which is fine but more challenging for sure!
I feel I have come such a long way. Runs are still tough and I don't always finish on a high but never in my wildest dreams did I think I could run this far. I have lost a stone in weight and my shape has changed. There is still around a stone to lose but I feel so much better in my own skin and feel well rid of that excess baggage
Now just hoping tomorrow isn't a total washout rain-wise (being typically disorganised, I dont have any waterproofs to run in! My Asics trainers are brilliantly comfortable but waterproof they are not...!

thankyou guys for your wellwishes...Mirella you made me giggle! I think I will jump up and down like a madwoman behind a tree or a bush (it's a very small village and people do so love to gossip!!) I also will try to remember to smile as I reach those last few minutes. I did that on the last run and psychologially it seemed to help much more than the sweaty despairing grimace that had previously been etched on my mug!
Good luck for tomorrow, your times are great so far, definitely a good base to build on. I think I gave myself a clap finishing my last run! Hope the weather isn't too bad!
