Hi there, yes I have started exercising and quit hundreds of times. I'm convinced that C25K works, because I've stuck with it for 6 weeks now. That's long term commitment for me! Stick with it, make sure you het your rest days in between, and you'll be surprised at how addictive it can become! Good luck!

Its not that we quit . . We just get easily distracted and then get caught in that circle again . . well I do anyway. Best to focus on the positives and not consider that 'Q' word. . just do our best and know that it takes effort but will be more than worth it. One day at a time . . one life.

I can volunteer to stalk you if you like? :) lol I went after B3any Boy once as he'd gone missing after graduation lol - he was found still running and hunting bears

I'm expecting one or two folks here to be coming after me to enquire if I go missing :) I'm going to keep up with the running and posting routine for the moral support like Ali does

Lol! A stalker would probably do me the world of good! There's nothing like being forced to shift your backside into gear! Do I get to know the dates and times of aforementioned stalking in advance? Only I'll need to fit you in to my diary! :-)

I know the feeling....something normally happens to get me out of a routine e.g. get a cold, away for work/holiday etc BUT this time I've stuck at it for 3 months and even took my running gear on a work trip & planning to do so for holiday in June!

I think part of what has worked this time is I talk about it with colleagues (they are proper runners doing marathons!! or is that they are mad??) and they give me the encouragement. Also would find it hard to tell them I'd given up.

Good luck...it you stick to the programme, take rest days etc you'll be fine. Keep posting on here for some moral support :)

I'm at week 7 of the plan and was worried that I wouldn't keep it up once I graduated. So I've joined a local running group as a statement of intent. It's an all-ladies group and has a reputation for being fun and sociable. I haven't been out running with them yet as I want to get my 30 mins running under my belt first but I'm hoping it'll keep me running and make it more fun as I currently do it alone. I certainly don't want to give it up as I'm feeling so healthy and fit compared to 7 weeks ago.

Just keep going and I'm sure you'll end up loving it just as much as most of the people on this forum seem to do :-)

T'was the snow a couple of months ago... It provided a good reason to stay indoors and as it went on, I lost the will to continue. Or start again.

Yes, I've got form for quitting too. But C25K has helped me stick with an exercise programme longer than ever before. And when you're feeling weak, channel the spirit of a certain football team and know that you can do better than anyone ever expected!
