Wk 7 run 1 completed Monday, shins aching last night and still some pain this morning. Should I attempt run 2 or rest? I am running on a treadmill, did I see someone say that you should have it at an slight incline to stop shin pain? Also saw some people say compression socks help, is this true?

when I run on the treadmill I always have an incline of 1. if nothing else it isnt as noisy!
big question though, have you been fitted for the right trainers? it really does make a difference.
cant comment on compression socks but for me, after venturing outside I found I needed support trainers (after 10 months of treadmill with no pain). before I got them I would wear a stretchy bandage over my left shin & over the knee which did seem to help.
my shin felt bruised but rubbing it hard/massaging in the bath with one of those spongy bath scrunches seemed to relieve the pain.

thanks for replying. My husband made me get fitted fro trainers before I evern started the podcasts so I know it's not them. Will try the incline and research into compression socks. Maybe I'll try the massage in bath too, thanks x
