I am completing week 8 run 2 and I've been exhausted this week. I've bought some electrolyte tablets and found they helped on the first run of thus week. I have been overheating and actually felt a little sick after a run last week due to having to do evening runs and the humidity. Anyone else running after a total hip replacement? I'm struggling a bit with the knee on my operated side. Keen to hear any advice and don't want to quit these runs😁 I would appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance.

Hi! I wonder if you might want to drop back to Week 7 for a few runs, especially when dealing with all of the obstacles that are being thrown your way - weather, exhaustion, niggling knee.
If the knee pain continues, you might want to see your GP or Physio.
Keep running (as you are able), even if its for shorter runs and do keep in mind your pace...going slower sometimes helps a lot.

Hello, and well done you on .... but you are struggling a tad, so...what can we advise ?
Well... this weather which is so up and down, hot and cold and now some very humid days. The air quality is poor and we sometimes head out, not expecting it to impact.
First of as the runs get longer... just ease back a tad... take it very gently. Slow , steady and relaxed is the way.
Do try to make sure you are putting enough fuel in for the lovely longer runs and that good hydration is happening all the time... not just on run days or the day before.
Make rue that you are putting on some core strength and stamina work in too ... the running body needs some TLC and there are loads of ideas on the S and F forum...
Ge that physio done and see how you feel and do please keep us posted!
