Hello everyone…excuse my absence over the last couple of weeks but I’ve been on the most beautiful cruise around the Caribbean…and the first thing I packed was…yes, you guessed it…my running stuff…because that’s what I always do but I was on my graduation run so there was no way I couldn’t do that one while I was away…
The sun rose at 6:15 and I was on my balcony stretching and taking in the view…just sea…but it was fascinating…I have stared at the sea for hours over the last couple of weeks!!!! I was secretly hoping to see a whales tail or at least some dolphins but it was just flying fish that I saw while we were sailing…anyway…back to the running…
After my stretches I got myself out into the corridor and descended the stairs to deck 9 where the running track is…there were a few other people around, mostly walkers…and me…I’d taken my headphones so I could listen to some driving instructor podcasts while I was away (I never switch off honestly 🙄 ) so it was just me and my coach Steve and the Caribbean Sea…it whizzed by…effortless…except for the heat…woo I was sooooo glad I hadn’t waited any longer because before I knew it the temperature was 33 degrees and anyone who knows me on here knows that me, running in the heat is an absolute no no….i can be seen from space at the best of times!!! When I got to the end of my run I was so pleased with myself…1 because I’d finished the programme again and 2 because I’d found it quite easy…I do need to have more faith in myself!!!
So after a quick shower it was shore day & we were heading for a beach in St Kitts where I had a very unexpected swim with a turtle, some stingrays and a massive fish that made eye contact with me to which I promptly made my way back to the sand!!!
Happy running everyone…there’s nothing better than a holiday run 😉 now I need to get back into my running routine and run off all the gorgeous food I’ve eaten!!!
Thought I’d share one of the beautiful sunsets with you all x
