I’ve been quiet for couple of months whilst, in theory, consolidating my routine since graduating from C25K. In reality I’ve been doing less running as the bad weather has set in. But I’ve been absolutely determined to do my first Parkrun before the end of 2023. After an abortive attempt on Christmas Day when I was defeated by the unbelievably slippery mud, I tried again yesterday along the seafront at Lee-on-the-Solent instead. I managed to complete it in 38 minutes. I know I’m just bragging but I think this community will understand just how thrilled I am!
Happy new year, everyone. This is a great group to be on.

Absolutely fantastic news! Congratulations and you can show off all you want…you’ve earned it!
Have you discovered Bridge to 10k yet? There’s a weekly thread dedicated to parkrun over there. It might be a good place to continue sharing your running journey. You don’t have to be aiming for 10k ( unless you want to!). Many people find it a nice natural next step from Couch to. 5k. There’s a weekly quest where you set your own goals that can be a good way to get support and encouragement. Come and have a browse and see what you think!
🍏🥳 You are the essence of what C25k is all about! If at first you don’t succeed.. keep trying! Thank you for encouraging us all to have another go when it doesn’t quite work out the first time! Well done and great timing! 🥳🙌
