Last week the parkrun was cancelled, due to heavy frost. I really suffer with cold hands to the point of them being painful and making me feel sick. I also seem to beat myself up if I miss a run day, thinking I will lose all my fitness.
Anyway, just wondering whether it would be worth buying a treadmill to use at home, while the nights are dark, wet and cold ?? Anyone got any advice.
Thanks in advance !!

Given everything you've said, I think a folding treadmill would be a worthwhile investment. You'll find plenty on the likes of Amazon . Roger Black does them for under £500.
I've got a folding treadmill. Very simple but I did the whole 9 weeks on mine and still use it when the weather is bad. I can't remember how much it was but definitely not very expensive. It folds easily and doesn't take up too much space. I get very cold hands too. Have you tried heated gloves? You can get them with little battery packs or those that you preheat from Amazon.
You could try two pairs of gloves. Thin runners gloves underneath and something thicker over, then you can remove the outer pair should you warm up and still protect your fingers.
You could also try to do all of your warm up inside so that you are running as soon as you get out.
If you have space and funds I’m sure a treadmill is a useful addition. But hopefully the weather won’t remain inclement for too long and then it may become surplus. Could you join a gym for a few months until the warmer days return?
