Does anyone get exertion headaches?

Had a whopper yesterday that came on after W5R3 (first 20mins!) at 9.30am, was still going at bedtime and I'm still a bit iffy this morning. Any tips for getting rid? I tried paracetamol, electrolytes, fluids, sleep and sumatriptan! Thanks!

Yes, this has happened to me a few times. It seems to be when I get very hot or when I haven't been relaxed during the run ie shoulders, so everything around my neck gets tight. I've had to give in and take sumatriptan too. I try to go out wearing light clothes even if it's quite cool. They say dress for 5° warmer than it actually us. I take a NRC coach with me (in my ears) encouraging me to stay relaxed around the arms, shoulders and neck and run easy. It's hard sometimes but if you can do it it should help. Hope so anyway.

This is so helpful, thank you! I never really considered my posture so this makes sense - I was quite nervous about my first 20min run for over 7 years!
