Can hardly believe I've just done my second 25-minute jog - W7r1. It really is - as they all say - just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other....but for me some things helped A LOT, turning it from a slog into a challenge! First, I decided to go my usual route because I've now got mental 'markers' of how far I've come and how far there is left to go. Second, I chose a whole new playlist of upbeat songs that make me feel happy, to lift the spirits (surprising how Van singing Brown Eyed Girl made me want to skip!) and thirdly, I took it really really slow. Having said that, I was surprised and delighted that the half-way bell rang a tiny bit further down the road than last time, suggesting my snails pace might be getting infinitesimally quicker. And all this in the rain!! Have a lovely day everyone.
