Today was really a challenge. I didn't get much sleep due to problems at work. I went to bed late and ended up taking sleeping pills. In addition, digestive problems.

My situation: After updating my Dell computers, the Wake on LAN feature stopped working. So I went to find out what happened: Normally it wouldn't be that bad (about 25 kilometers), but the road to the company is being repaired, so it's twice as long and leads through fields and meadows, with various detours where deer and other animals randomly jump under car. At night there is almost nothing to see. And to make it even more complicated, speed limits everywhere to 30 km/h and confusing turns...🙄

I fixed the bios settings which reset itself (thank you Dell Update so much!🫤), tried to see if everything worked and it went back. When I arrived I found that the computers wouldn't restart again.

I went back again and found that the update had also wiped the computer's time and date and set up nonsense.

Everything had to be set manually again. Computers wouldn't start without it.

So I had a good reason not to run today.

But I didn't give up and stumbled through my 25 minutes.

And so today I took to heart the quote of the great Czech Jára Cimrman:

This is a completely invented (fictitious) character, who almost won the poll for the best Czech (if they hadn't canceled this nomination).

And although he never existed, he is the author of almost all important inventions and works of art and everything.. In Bohemia, he has a number of commemorative plaques, museums, cycle paths, lookouts and the like...

It's all humor. That's why my "self-praise" was a joke too.
