New Club Walking for fitness W2

As some of you are aware by now I am a member of a running group based in Kent called B2R! Monday & Thursdays are our run nights!

Last week one of the other groups started a walking group on a Tuesday night so three of us from our group said we would give it a go! We really enjoyed it so last night we were back for another walk! Myself and my friend Maggie haven’t a clue about this village so every walk is a magical mystery tour!

Sarah our team leader had planned a lovely walk through a park up into a wood out into a field! She had gone out on Sunday to check the route was ok for our walk last night!

We started off from the school down the high street down the road to the park up into the wood! Everything was going so well until we reached the field! Unknown to Sarah the field had been fenced off on Monday or Tuesday!

So we had to abandon that route and double back on ourselves and back through the wood and park and out on a different route! It was actually real fun😂💚

The aim of this new group it to build up fitness for people who can’t or don’t won’t to run!

Each year our founder does a weekend trip hiking! This year they did the three peaks challenge! So the aim is to get us on it next year so he’s planning hikes as we go along so hopefully this will be having lots of adventures along the way!

Sounds really good, enjoy the walks , picture from my solo walk October on Helvellyn.

I am currently running three days a week and didn’t want to add another run in the gym is out of picture as I needed both arms for most things in a gym or exercise classes so this has filled the gap. I am back at work on full hours but amended duties ! So now moving more daily
