I splashed out and bought some prescription sports glasses from Optilabs that react to light. I was wary because they were quite expensive but I love them! They help to protect my eyes from the wind, too.

I just wear fairly cheap sunglasses because I lose them in a regular basis. I had some from Primark a few years ago and used to run in them all the time, so depends how much you want to pay.

I don't know if you can get them in the UK, but here I run with really lightweight yellow safety sunglasses I get from the Builders Supply place. Cost is $3 - yep, only 3 - each and they work really well. Wraparound style so stay firmly in place and just enough tint to cut glare without compromising vision
