social anxiety?

when anyone, friends or family suggest a night out, my instant reaction is I don’t want to go. I get so anxious about what to wear, what I’m going to eat, who will be there, how will they be with me, how much it’s going to cost, it all seems too much trouble. All this while desperately wanting to connect and be part of something. I have no trouble talking and chatting to people, neighbours, work colleagues and customers. I also find it difficult to say no so I often put myself through it and spend the whole time worrying, feeling tense and uncomfortable. Does anyone else have this issue?

Hello... I am not sure whether you intended to post this on here... I know you did some running about a year ago?

I am sure many folk can identify with your worries, especially at this time of year.

We are a running forum for Couch to 5K as you know and there is a forum also HU where you might find support and some useful advice:)

I don't know if you are still running, but here on the forum, we do always advise our runners, that there are mental and physical benefits that come with our runs!

Let me know, please, if there is any other way in which we may be helpful.
