Pounding the pavement this evening…with my playlist & my thoughts of my lovely friend…so many lives have been touched by Tim, I really don’t think he realised just what he meant to so many people…including me…I have had the privilege of being on the admin team alongside him, sharing ideas, thoughts & of course, banter…I told Tim that his profile picture reminded me of Barry Gibb from The BeeGees…he found this very amusing, so whenever we were in touch, I always referred to him as Barry….so tonight, it would not have been right if I hadn’t have had The BeeGees playing while I ran…I never met ‘Barry’ face to face but sometimes you don’t need to meet someone to become great friends..& I will always consider Tim a friend…half way through my run I felt something tickle my cheek, I touched it & it was wet…without even realising I had tears tumbling down my cheeks thinking of Tim, how precious life is & how we all should make the most of every single day…& everyone we love…the song that came on at that moment was ‘You should be dancing’ and without even thinking about it my pace changed to the beat & I started to sing ‘you should be running’ and that’s exactly what Tim would sing I’m sure!!!
Tim would be absolutely amazed at the support & out pouring of emotion through everyone’s runs in his name …
Always, always in our hearts…we will miss him dearly…his posts will always remain part of HU so in some way he is still here with us…I am so lucky to have found this forum & the wonderful people on it…& will be eternally grateful for Tim’s wise words and encouragement when I was struggling…he really did help to change my life
I will always keep running & keep smiling because of you 💙💙

Ah Mummycav, that was so lovely, I'll have to go and re-hydrate now! When it comes to online groups, so often it is the 'big' personalities who attract the most attention and are memorable, with their downs as well as their ups. That was never Iannodatruffe.
A very inspiring post from you Mummycav in memory of Tim, especially the bit you said that tears came tumbling down your cheeks thinking of him while you were running, I am sure Tim would be very proud of you, so you had to wait until darkness for your run, well done.
As sad as it is for us to lose the mentor Iannodatruffe, the Admin team have lost Tim, someone who has become a true friend. This has been such a difficult time for you all, especially Oldfloss who became close over recent months and has been a link with his family.
I applaud you all for giving up your time to this forum, and for arranging this amazing tribute to Tim. Thank you.
Oh my goodness, what a wonderful and heartfelt tribute. I am welling up a bit after reading that. What an amazing man Tim was, to touch so many of us in a way that felt personal even though we never met him.
Beautiful post MC and a very emotional run for you. 💜
His replies to posts were so warm and sincere, we all respected and loved him for that. I proof read a lot of those info posts when I was an admin and know he had a great sense of humour.
it was emotional Bluebirdrunner …I didn’t realise straight away but my thoughts ran away with me, as they often do…and hey ho, the tears came unannounced!! Some people make an imprint on your life don’t they and Tim was one of those people…our private messages & banter behind the scenes well, they were just perfect…funny, caring & kind…always 💙
