just ran week 9 day 2 and on Saturday will complete with my first 5k park run.

But what happens next week?

I want to continue but there are so many Apps out there and not sure which to choose. I will miss the lovely tones of Jo Whiley encouraging me!!

All suggestions great fully received.

First of all, congratulations for what you’ve already achieved and what you will achieve when you complete your final c25k run. That’s a massive thing and you should take some time to celebrate and look back over how far you’ve come.

There’s a great post about post c25k running that’s worth reading. I’ll find a link or someone will beat me to it! You need to spend some time sticking at 30 minutes to consolidate what you’ve done so far. It’s not worth pushing too early and getting injured. That doesn’t mean every run has to be 30 minutes long. Shorter runs are good too. Try some new routes. Go up some hills. Have fun and think about what you actually want to do next. There’s no “should” involved. You could build up to 10k and beyond. You could decide you want to become a speedy speedster and focus on a fast 5k time. You could do both! It’s up to you. Consolidate first though-that’s really important.

I used the magic plan to get to 10k, and now I’m using the Nike Run Club app to get to half marathon distance (three weeks Sunday is the big day). My first c25k run was December 29th. I like the NRC app. It’s a bit marmite but worth a go since it’s free. The “easy/recovery” runs would be suitable for consolidation if you choose the ones that are 30minutes, or walk anything beyond that. There isn’t a 5minute warm up/cool down walk on the commentary so add those on if you decide to try it.

There are lots of recent grads on the Bridge to 10km forum here. Very friendly and doesn’t commit you to having to do 10km!!!

Most of all, enjoy your last run of the beginning of your running journey. Where’s next is totally up to you!

Congratulations on your progress.

When you announce your graduation we will send you a link to a guide to post C25k running.

If you cannot wait, it is sitting in the FAQ Posts, which you will find in the Pinned Posts.

You can also pop over to the Bridge to 5k forum but we recommend a period of consolidation to allow your body to catch up, by just running 30min/5k until that is wholly comfortable, before pushing on duration or working on speed.

Keep running, keep smiling.

ah well done on your running journey so far - we’ll be cheering you on at the finish line at your final run of the programme 🏁

Misunderstanding and Ionnoda 👆🏻 Have given great advice there on what’s next. I remember feeling a little bit lost once I’d completed but after doing a few weeks of consolidation runs and hitting that 5k mark I’m now on Ju-ju’s magic plan to hopefully get me running for 60 mins and then 10k - good luck and enjoy and celebrate your final run of ct5k 👍🏻
