Could anyone recommend running shoes please

Hi Margo121,

Before someone comes along and says can you recommend a car 🤣 the best approach is go to a specialist running shop and have a gait analysis which will then narrow down your choice to suit how you run.

When your shoe type has been established by the expert then go for what feels the most comfortable. 👍

Hi, No one here could sensibly recommend the best shoes for you .

What is right for them could be totally unsuitable for you and could even cause injury .

The best way would be to have a gait analysis at a dedicated running shop then see what they advise .

Decide on your budget ... how much are you prepared to spend?

Don't feel pressured to spend over e.g. £70 - you can get perfectly fine shoes in the £40-70 range.

It also seems to depend on whether you will be running mainly on roads or trails. For C25k I used old trainers I already had and then aisics basic trail shoes...£40. They have been fine for me tho I've worn thro the uppers the soles are still fine...
