Wednesday, the rain is tipping down, the park is flooded and I'm running in 3/4 inches of water is someplaces. So three weeks in and on my third run and I'm doing my last three minute stint and Jo doesnt tell me to stop running. I start panicing, what do I do? Stop? Keep going and see if she remembers about me? I finally give up because I am exhausted. I do the five minute warmdown and when I get home I find that the C25K app is sitting at the GO button to begin Run 3! I would have been raging if I wasnt soaked to the skin, knackered and being shouted at for dripping all over the hall. I wasnt looking forward to week four's five minute runs. So now I'm thinking that maybe they did that on purpose, because I certainly ran for about that long. Sheesh!

Apologies for giggling aloud but you reminded me of similar technical issues I had during C25K.

Well done for continuing and in properly wet conditions. Bravo 👏

Welcome to the forum and well done...........just a minor blip in your running career.

The app is very flakey and if everyone who had issues with it reported to the developers via their download site, then it might improve.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

We used Michael as our trainer, one day he said to do the warm up walk and then run and then he just disappeared so we did our own thing and he was back for the next run Sounds like you did ok though 😀

Well done for continuing !Yes unfortunately the app has a habit of stopping sometines , it will often stop if you receive a phone call as well .

So always worth keeping a track of your times 😁

Teehee! The app has a mind of its own sometimes - I was abandoned by Michael when I was doing mine! But at least you can have no fear going into the longer runs because you’re already there! Well done!

I think we’ve all had abandonment issues at some point! Sorry you got told off for dripping all over the hall though, that’s tough ☔️😁. You’ve proved you’re adaptable which is brill - best of luck with the next one ☝️.

I think we all have similar technical issues 🤔 maybe it is deliberate. I hope you were forgiven for dripping on the floor

Haha - I shouldn’t laugh, but it happened to me on week 1 run 1.

Keep it quiet but I never actually completed C25K as I completely messed that one up.

There was me, very green (I hadn’t read the guide and thought i was going to chuck) . Trying to run in the most inappropriate clothing possible and juggling the phone stopwatch to time the run/walk sections. I think Laura was having such a laught at me and forgot what she was supposed to be doing 😂

I was one rep out, think I did 6 instead of 7 on that run as I couldn’t think straight - I worked out to lock my phone after that and had no more issues through the program.

You haven't completed c25k if your app doesn't stop/not work/not record your run at least once! You've got this 😁

You can't beat the original podcasts with Laura :)
