Hi all, I last wrote when I was struggling with my breathing at the end of week 1, and was unsure whether to proceed to week 2. There have been some holidays between then and now, and I do tend to repeat weeks, but I just wanted to write today because I really enjoyed the 5 minute runs today and the breathing is getting better. I read the posts and comments on this forum regularly and it is inspiring. Thank you, everybody! 😊

Week 4 run 2 feeling easier
Hi Bingles, first: well done for sticking with it! I have to say when I look back at week 1 and how I struggled with my breathing, it was hard to believe it would improve but it did! I kept saying to myself: you can do this… just a little bit more to go. My next run will be W7R3 and I can tell you even though my legs are pretty done by the time I finish the run, I don’t look or sound like I’m running out of oxygen! Keep it going! Well done
It’s fantastic you keep with it and it’s getting easier. We think it’s daft that we need to learn to breath but in running we really do. If I find myself feeling a bit breathless I count breath in and out it works and it also takes my mind of thinking about the time. Keep going
That’s great Bingles varying my route seems to help me enjoy my runs more as well of course slowing the pace down. Kept going 👍
I struggled with the breathing early on and couldn’t comprehend that I’d ever be able to run for 30 minutes - guess what? You can and you will and the breathing won’t be an issue after a while. For me, my legs get tired before I would ever run out of breath. Believe in it and you’ll do it. Keep going 💪🏼.
