A good friend of mine was treated recently for chronic plantar fasciitis using shock wave therapy and is now pain free.

I don’t know how well this procedure is known about but for anyone who has suffered long term with this condition, this procedure may well be worth investigating further with your doctor or privately.

I thought I’d post this here for community information.

Here’s the NHS’s take on it.

I had shock wave therapy for tarsal tunnel syndrome about 5 years ago, that combined with physio and wearing proper footwear (so no completely flat sandals!!) sorted it. I really don’t think I would now be running without having it as the pain was horrendous.

Amazing! I’ve never heard of it before and it does seem to work well with chronic conditions.
