Hi, I’m away on holiday for a couple of weeks and wondering to what extent my fitness will drop off if I take a break from running? I graduated in March and been running 5k 3 times a week in around 35mins. Thanks!

Not at all.
Your body will benefit from the break.
One of the joys of running for me is running in new places........why not take your kit?
Thank you. I have packed my kit and hope to get out a couple of times, but just in case the food/wine make it a challenge though I wondered how much I’d struggle when I get home if worse case scenario I don’t do much running whilst away!
Definitely pack your kit. It won't take up much space. If you're going somewhere very sunny you may need to get out just after sunrise to avoid the heat.
Your first run when you get back (if you haven't run in the meantime) might be a bit of a chore, but you'll bounce back to form very quickly. Getting back into a routine is the hardest bit.

Enjoy your holiday! The biggest fear is losing the habit, or routine. So, as long as you get back into your routine when you get back, you'll be fine 👍🏻

I got back off holiday yesterday, I was only away a week and ran 3 times and again today! I will always take my kit with me now, it's almost like I "need" to run to function 🤭. Enjoy your holiday, whatever you decide to do!

Enjoy your holiday, take your kit but don't feel bad if the food and wine gets in the way. You'll soon get back in to it. In the past I've found I've run really well after a week off, last year managed a 5k PB first time out after a week away in Italy enjoying far too much wine and pasta.
