Well I never. I ran my first ever 6K yesterday morning and felt great. Exactly 1 month on from finishing C25K and I’ve been running a 5k every other day so decided to step it up a bit. Can’t believe I actually love running. It’s been transformational both physically and mentally.
Achieving the goal of finishing the program was wonderful and rather than wanting to stop I realised that I’d got my body to do so much more than I thought it could. So why not keep going and keep getting that fantastic feeling after a run ?
I decided to give myself small goals such as trying to run longer, faster or on different terrain. But all of this was done slowly and might change if I didn’t feel up for it on any given day. That way, these challenges were stress free and therefore, much more achievable. So I’d say, see finishing C25K as the start of your running and not the end! 🏃🏻♂️ 🏃🏽♀️
