Runners knee

Hi, I've recently start C25K & enjoying it, however this week my knee is really hurting when I'm not moving.

Do I continue running or rest until better? Conflicting advice on the Internet.

I don't want to give up.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Paradoxically some very gentle knee bends may help. Not squatting, hardly go down at all.

Knees are complicated! I have had runner’s knee. Mine didn’t hurt when it wasn’t moving. I got advice from a physio which resolved the problem through doing the correct exercises. If this doesn’t go away quickly under its own steam I would get some physio advice. The exercises needed to fix some knee issues are counterintuitive; I had to do lots of work on my hips! Worked though.
