I’m having a dull knee ache after short distance, can anyone help?

How long have you been running? How far do you run? Are you doing couch to 5k? Have you finished? Where is the pain?

Hi, I’ve just downloaded the app but have been running 1minute on 1minute off. Can only manage 2k at the mo ask I’m a recent ex smoker. My breathing getting easier now my knees let me down! Xx

Lots of people have knee pain in week 2 or 3. Hopefully it will go.

I had a dull knee ache too in the early weeks and also had problems going down stairs.

It happens to a lot of new runners. It's part of your body adapting to the new activity.

As long as it doesn't become properly painful you should be OK.

If it doesn't improve in a couple of weeks you might want to see someone about it.
