How long have you been running? How far do you run? Are you doing couch to 5k? Have you finished? Where is the pain?

I had a dull knee ache too in the early weeks and also had problems going down stairs.
It happens to a lot of new runners. It's part of your body adapting to the new activity.
As long as it doesn't become properly painful you should be OK.
If it doesn't improve in a couple of weeks you might want to see someone about it.
