Welcome to the forum.

If you ran a marathon once a month and didn't change lifestyle then you might lose weight. C25K is not a weight loss programme, but will make you lose inches, make you feel better about yourself and probably make you to change your diet to help your running.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

If you make no changes at all to your diet, you'll not see much difference in the way of weight.

You'll be replacing fat with muscle, which weighs the same but is denser, so takes up less volume. I did lose weight, but that was through cutting out sugary boredom snacks. My trouser belt has tightened two notches in the last 9 months and people keep telling me that I look well.

Unfortunately if we take on the same energy our body burns off during our day time activities. We won't lose weight.

I’ve not lost weight but on week 8 and can see my waist again after losing about an inch. I think it changes your shape maybe ?
