Hi I’m on week 5 and looking at what to progress to when I finish ! Very optimistic but there is a 10k charity run near me on the 1 August Do you think it would be realistic for me to be able to to 10k by that time? I haven’t looked at any posts past 5k in terms of how long it takes to progress to 10k. Thanks

That is entirely doable.
If you consolidate for a few weeks after graduation you will be in a good position to move forward to run 10k in just a few more weeks if you follow the recommended 10% rule.

I think you could do it, you’ve got sufficient time to gradually reach that distance, following your C25k graduation......Good Luck 👍
When you graduate, download the Nike Run Club app, there are coached runs of various distances on there and they’ll help you to gradually increase your distance, over time, it’s a free app. 😁

That would make it about 7 months since day 1. I am doing it slowly and hope to take under 9 months start to "finish." I am 57 and at least 2 stone overweight. I don't want to rush it. 7 months is not rushing it either. Give it a go. The experts above say you can do it. You can do this.

Yes, definitely possible. I graduated at the end of August, had a few setbacks after that, including having a month of no running due to injury, and re-doing C25K as a consequence. I ran my first 10km at the start of this month.
You'll need to keep consolidating for a few weeks after graduating, and then you can gradually increase distance. It ought to be possible to reach 10km in about 4-5 months after graduating.
