Calf pain

Completed W3R3 yesterday.. never thought that would happen so very pleased. Terrified for W4.

I am going good when it comes to breathing and not feeling tired, not super breathless, all good. But the thing making it hard is the pain in my calves. I have tight calf muscles. Always have had.

W1R1 was a real killer and its not as bad now. Do I just keep going andpuash through it? its not horrendous pain but it is constantly on my mind while I run.The minute I stop running and return to walking. Pain is gone.. any thoughts?

Ive never run before this, always been active but with stop start sports, netball, badminton, squash. Maybe its normal to have pain?

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
