Hi, I’m just looking for some seasoned advice if possible please. After my last run on Monday (which I decided to do barefoot on the spot in my living room) I have aches and pains everywhere. Buttocks, hips and thighs particularly. I put this down to running on tiptoes - For some reason I don’t seem to be able to run on the spot using my whole foot as I normally do when I’m actually traveling. My question is do I rest or do I run tomorrow? It will be outside as I don’t want to do an on the spotter again if I can help it lol.

I’m not sure running on the spot is equivalent to running and moving forward? Also barefoot means you had no cushioning of the impact.

You can try out walking in the morning for a bit to see how it feels. Then only you can make your mind up. It may be worth giving it an extra day's rest if it still hurts a bit. You could do some strength and flex/stretching instead. Careful of the ice if you go out,

I would rest up and avoid repeating the experiment.
