Hi all, I am just starting week 3 of C25K. Quick question, does it really matter how slow you jog as long as you keep the momentum?

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
In answer to your question, it is most beneficial for you to run/jog at the fastest pace at which you can clearly speak aloud full sentences as you go. This equates to approximately 75% of your maximum heart rate, which is the perfect zone to build the solid aerobic base required to run faster and further, which is why it is the pace at which elite athletes spend up to 80% of their training time. If you go faster or slower you will not gain the optimum benefit.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.

John this is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing!
you're welcome. There is no such thing as 'too slow' for C25K. Ignore the 5K bit - just a catchy title. The objective is to jog 30 minutes continuously, 3 times in Week 9. That's it - nothing else.
If you're breathing too heavily, feeling uncomfortable, you're going too fast. Make sure you're going at a pace where you can comfortably chat at. Conversational pace we call it!
Conversational pace is the key but otherwise no there isn’t- I’m probably the world’s slowest runner but that’s fine with me as long as I can run!
