Hi All, ive finished my W5R3 yesterday and was feeling great however ive woken up with rather unpleasant back pain. Thankfully it got better in the morning. Has anyone else experienced this during the program or shall i just file it under how unfit am i folder?

Runners need good core strength and lack of it often exhibits as back pain.
I suffered this after my first few ten mile runs, but soon sorted it by building in planks and bridges into my strength routines.
Hi IannodaTruffe, thank you for your reply! Im not surprised then as now with working from home im not moving much apart from my weekly runs. Planks feel a bit intimidating but will try these out and brdiges as definitely dont want to stop running because of injury now, thank you for the tip!
I am doing a few exercises but need to do more. Planks are better than sit ups. Stretches are less intimidating! I am sure you can find some for the whole back on the net - naturally some sites will say do this and don't do that and others will say don't do that , do this. Maybe check a few and see what seems best. Eg one site says the scorpion stretch is good and another site says it puts too much pressure on the lower lumber area.
Thank you Rennur, i was thinking that plus yoga and hopefully will build myself up to planks!😊
Streches are real good after running, but you need to build some general strength in the back region. See here korrektholdning.dk/rygoevel...
