Has anyone got any recommendations for cheap but comfortable running trousers and tops for the winter which isn’t Lycra?
I don’t mind men’s clothes either as I like my clothes loose fit which is why I don’t like Lycra or leggings so don’t want that.
I normally run in football shorts and a running top but it’s getting cold however Iam a little worried if I’ll get too hot or the winter wear is too heavy.
Thank you all

For comfort you need to wear running gear made of wicking fabric, otherwise, unless you are a non perspirer, you will end up with cold, uncomfortable and unsightly patches of sweat which will increase the risk of chafing.......... which is why most runners wear lycra.I could never imagine wearing lycra before I started running and used to wear cotton t-shirts until I realised how heavy and uncomfortable the became after a short period of running.
Lycra, being thin and stretchy is perfect for layering in colder weather.
Much of my running gear has come from Aldi and Lidl and in most cases has proved durable and excellent value. They will no doubt be featuring keep fit gear in their New Year promotions, if they stick to their normal patterns.
