I’m feeling absolutely gutted after hurting my back after my W5R3 run.
This was my first 20 min run and I was so pleased that I’d managed it. My back was fine the next day but the day after it was really painful. It doesn’t seem to be getting any better. 😫 I had back surgery 15 years ago so i have a bit of a weakness there.
Anyone else had back problems? Any advice? Strengthening exercises?
I’m praying this is not the end of my running!! 😢

Hi Sabby2021, perhaps you might have simply jarred it whilst running, but as you mentioned you've had back surgery, a check up surely would be wise?
I've attached a link to the strength and flex forum, should you need any exercises BUT definitely don't risk injury before looking at anything that could prove risky
My husband had back problems for years and consulted an osteopath. When he'd sorted the immediate problem he recommended reformer Pilates (not mat Pilates) and we've been doing that for 4 years now with considerable improvements, though of course I don't know how suitable it is if you've had surgery.
