Can’t believe I ran for 25 minutes! So pleased. I don’t think I would have done it without this lovely site, so inspiring and encouraging 😊
Did I really do that?’: Can’t believe I ran for... - Couch to 5K
Did I really do that?’
Yes you really did. Well done! You are now onto the home straight - just straightforward running (jogging!) all the way 👍😀
Well done on your 25 minutes. On the homeward straight to achieving your goal 🏃♀️
You are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER by running run 3 of week 6 😊 🏃🏾, not too long now until you graduate.
I can’t believe it! All happening so quickly now. My main problem will be sticking with it once I finish the 9 weeks
After 9 weeks, run 3 of week 9 when you graduate you will run several 30 minute consolidation runs then do the C25K +Stepping Stones podcasts with Laura, which are, pace, speed and stamina. After that you can do Ju Ju's Magic 10 plan if you want to run a 10K, but first complete C25K. 😊
Thanks AlMorr, that’s good to know. I’m sure if I have a plan I’m less likely to give up.Lots of people mention the consolidation runs, wasn’t really sure what they were!
Judging by your username you may not have been able to swim as many swimming pools are closed and like many swimmers have taken up running.
Yes that’s right, I’ve only been swimming a few years, hated it when I was younger!
I did a bit of running in my 50’s and always regretted stopping. Never been good/ fast but just love the feeling you get after a run.
How long have you been running?
I have been a cyclist since I was 7, however, over the last few years I have reduced the amount of cycling I do from 4 rather long bike rides a week to 1 shorter bike ride a week and that's only during the late Spring, Summer and early Autumn months, during the other months, mainly Winter I go longer walks and now run.
I started C25K run 1 of week 1 on the 18th April 2018 and graduated on 18th June 2018, at that time I did not intend to run any more than 5K but like so many people on this forum I have increased my distance to running 10/10Ks, 2/11Ks, 2/12Ks and 1/10 miles run, recently I have only been running twice a week, 1/5K on a Saturday morning which we call here on C25K a (not) parkrun and a 8K run on a Wednesday morning, I suppose if I was 30 years younger I would be running 4 runs a week but at my age I think two runs a week is enough. 😊 🏃🏾
I think that’s pretty good. It’s amazing what we can do when we put our minds to it!No idea how old you are but I’m 63 and just really happy to be back out there. I find I’m not so harsh on myself now than in my early/mid 50’s, just accept I’m slow and that’s ok 👍
Congratulations on the 25 minutes, it's a great feeling isn't it 😁
The finish line (or is it the start line) is coming into view 👍
Well done swim63, 👏🏻👏🏻it’s surprising what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. This site definitely helps, keep running, keep posting, you’re doing great 👍
Great progress.Consider the next three weeks to be just stamina building.
You've done the hard part IMHO, just don't push it too much and you'll smash it.
