from last legs to zooming it! :-)

isn't it funny how when you are totally spent at the end of a run... no energy or stamina... legs all jelly... can't go on... when you hear that you 'only' have a minute left (or two or whatever it is) you can ALWAYS find that extra zoom to end the run? talk about the power of the mind.

I drive about 30 mins to run somewhere out of the city so I usually take a flask of coffee with me for after the run. When I hear that 1 min warning I can find a bit of extra speed to get to that coffee 😂

Well done! You’re doing great!

Oh yes! That last little spurt of energy from somewhere to finish on a high! Your progress is amazing and your posts are now so positive! It's clear that running is all about self belief and is mainly a mental challenge. That is what is so exciting about it - a challenge which is just yours and for you alone! You have learnt to dig deep and find strength. All good!

yes, i do seem to be translating 'running' into 'life' metaphors all over the place...

I think most of us do that! It's more than just exercise!

yeah, i find i liken it to things a lot! talk about an obsession! running is overtaking my life- and more importantly, some of life's 'worries'- even though i am only 1/3 way thru the programme.

and i do think this is important. replacing some of your worries with running thoughts is the most wonderful thing ever. even if they are little ones. i think that matters.

Those words are fast becoming my favourite words of the English language: "Only one minute left."

If you've got enough in the tank to up your rate at the end then you must have been running at the right pace.

You will hear about the toxic 10 . I also get jelly legs before the last 5 minutes and then they disappear. Then I up my pace at the end.

It just shows that jelly legs are just gremlins.

Keep it up DfC.
