I do my runs at 6.45am just after getting up. Although it has not been a problem so far, should I eat something before I start rather than waiting for breakfast afterwards?

I run early too. At the moment I have half a banana before I set out to keep me going, I have the other half when I get back.
Whether you eat before a run is entirely individual and it is probably best to experiment to find what suits you best, as mentioned in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
I personally prefer to run on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, whether running 5k or 10k. Others will eat porridge before they run, which would not go down well with me.
Why not try a light breakfast and see how it works for you.
Whatever you decide, don't forget the crucial hydration, as mentioned in the guide.
I think it depends how far you're going to run. I rarely eat more than half a banana before a run, and sometimes I run a long way. Seems to be fine. I take a snack with me on a longer run. See if it suits you. It's not a good idea to eat just before a run, so it's a it tricky if you're an early morning runner like you and I!
I always run early, too and I much prefer to run fasted for runs up to 10K, although I do like a cuppa before I go.
I run early, too, and found eating half a banana and drink quite a bit of water is good for me. I'm regularly running 5k and it works well for that distance. Make sure you chew the banana well so that when you swallow it is also most liquid. That way it will be easier to digest than if left in lumpy form.
