Not 5k Parkrun but 10k Vitality London Run instead

Well today got out early wanted to beat the rain due for later. Had built back up to 7k last week and had not run at all this week I guess I feel a little superstitious regard injuries before a big run so basically don’t go until I need to. Well I had an aim to get it under an hour based on most of my 5Ks being under 30 mins so just treat as two 5Ks without a break in the middle. I couldn’t decide whether to run the streets or just 6 laps of the park. I did both in the end 5k on the streets and 5k in the park. Just have to submit and wait for my medal 🏅. Good luck to anyone else doing the Virtual Vitality London 10k. You can do this.

It meant I had different scenery but didn’t stop in between just changed direction.

Thanks Katnap was aiming below 60 mins and got it just not a quick one. Too breezy on the run.

Thanks couldn’t decide was worried doing six laps of the park so with 5k out of the way I could just plod around the park like it was a normal 5k run that I do every week. It worked although I will admit I was knackered by the end having not really done any long runs since the London BigHalf in March 2020.

You've earned a good rest that's for sure. Though I expect you'll be busy with dogs 🐾🐾
