Different Terrain

Hi people.

How’re you all?

I had a today but chose to run on a field which was shall we say undulating and muddy!

Does anybody find it much harder to run on said terrain? It gave me sore-shins.

Thanks

Running on uneven ground is harder work but will build your muscles quicker.

I run on a grass field and I find it changes a lot. Some days, when it's chucked it down overnight, it's slippy and a bit too soft. Other days it can be pretty hard. The only bit I struggle with is when there's a slippy patch that I don't notice (it certainly gives me a jolt and makes me pay attention properly) or when there is a bit of a hidden dip in the ground; I find those quite treacherous actually because they can hurt the ankle. I think it's just about getting used to the area and maybe going when there's slightly better light so there aren't any hidden surprises
