I'm not expert on Pilates, but lower backache when you run could mean you need to strengthen your glute muscles (bum). I was advised about this by a physio. So bridges and hip exercises, as well as core strengthening exercises will help. I know there are a lot of people on the forum who swear by Pilates too, so I'm sure they'll have lots of info for you. Good luck

Thanks, that’s helpful. I have booked some personal training sessions which will include strengthening my glutes which I know are week. I want to supplement this with Pilates

Have you tried Youtube, the go-to for how-to?

I found a beginners one on the NHS channel. 🙂

Try ‘Pilates and Yoga with Katja’, available on you tube. I regularly do one of her stretching videos and I really like her style.
