Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Well done. I finished my 3rd run of week one last night. Good luck with week 2 😀

This is an amazing program, stick with and you’ll not believe what you can achieve, in my first week the 90sec walk wasn’t enough for me to recover my breath before starting again but now at the end of week 6 I’m running for 25mins and recovering my breath in under a min.

Things to bear in mind are go slow (it’s not a race), hydrate well every day particularly on your none run days, get the best shoes you can afford (go to an independent running shop for a gait analysis) and finally trust and enjoy yourself.

Well done for joining C25k.

Enjoy the experience and most of all trust the programme.

It's amazing!!

I am a lockdown graduate and have continued to run 2x weekly since my graduate day on 31st May.

I'm truly addicted to running and I'm sure you will be too 🏃‍♂️🤞
