Tried a different cross country route - harder work but made decision to run more slowly. I understand that I should be trying to build up endurance, time doesn’t matter - is that right?

If i understood correctly, but I'm a newbie, distance doesn't matter for now, so so long as you run during the run parts, speed is not important. Time does count, as your aim is eventually sustain a running motion, no matter how slow, for 30 mins. That's how i look at it! I don't even measure my route or speed 😊

I just did my first consolidation this morning. I actually ran with W9 W3 playing again, but with a different trainer 🤣. I just did the 30 minutes again, his was enough for me today. My next plan is to continue until I get 5k, then work on bringing the time down. I think that’s one way of doing it 🤔
Yes I think that’s the way - I ran for 30 mins again but at a deliberately slow pace - I feel that I might have pushed myself a bit too fast in the C5k programme so am concentrating on endurance rather than trying to crack the 5K soon. Good luck !
Sounds like just the plan... I graduated a few weeks ago now..
the beauty of graduation is that you can try different things..
I graduated at 3.5k so my aim was to improve to 5k at any pace.... I’ve done a few 5k runs but also mixed it up with some shorter faster runs but then also done some longer slower pace ones...
I’m on my 16th consolidation and I did my first 10k yesterday
Enjoy your running... 👍

Just keep repeating 30 min runs, but vary music, route and pace.
