Just failed wk6 r2 for the 3rd time - seriously I don’t get it every time I stop at the same time, 4 minutes before the end. Even changed my route so I wouldn’t know when that point was. I just can’t get past it don’t even really know why. I’ve tried slowing down to an almost walk but I still can’t do it. Yes I’m tired but Ive felt more tired and kept going, I’ve run further and for longer and it’s not like I’m gasping for breath or I have a stitch or anything something just tells me I have to stop and I can’t carry on. Anyone else had this?
I’m wondering if it’s worth skipping over it to run 3. I’ve run 20 minutes non stop before so don’t think 25 would be impossible. Any thoughts or tips?

The idea is to complete each run rather than jump ahead, which is how C25K works its magic.
From my own experience, and reading the experiences of others here, going back to intervals after W5R3 is something that catches quite a lot of people out.
I don't know why this is, so if anyone can explain it, do please share.
I wouldn't recommend skipping a session, but why not just tell yourself that you are going out to do W5R3, a solid 20 minute run, just to reassure yourself that you still have it in you.
If you can achieve that then try W6R2 again, which is only adding three minutes of brisk walking.
This sounds like a purely mental challenge............when something tells you to stop, it is you telling you to stop, so just override it and say no thank you, I will carry on.
Running for longer durations takes quite a bit of mental adjustment, so find a distraction from thinking about time or the physicality of running. I used to give myself a running commentary on everything my senses were experiencing as I ran, in fully formed florid sentences.......it worked for me.
Alternatively podcasts, music or audiobooks might do the trick.
Thanks I think I might try wk5 r3 again next tine and an audio book, it might take my mind off wondering how much longer I have left to go 😊Then I’ll reattempt the run again after.
