Best for running in the wet?

I’ve read lots of comments on here about trail shoes and I was wondering if they are good for running in the wet? I’m running in decent trainers but they are slippy on some wet roads and pavements which is knocking my confidence a bit. I don’t have the greatest balance at the best of times. I’m a newbie runner and will be going out on my last run of week 7 tomorrow. Actually looking forward to it 😁

Trail shoes are designed for trails and will not, in most cases, give the support nor cushioning required for extended road running.

Also the studs on trail shoes vary from model to model........I have a pair of Salomon trail shoes which have less pronounced studs than my Brooks GTs road shoes.

Unless you are going off road you are probably better off getting road shoes with decent grips.
