Immense sense of achievement

So I’m totally hooked and can already see what a difference this programme has made and I’m loving it.

Did Wk3 R2 yesterday and took a route to run alongside the water (Southampton Water) as there’s always lots to see and some lovely views. My parents live on this route so once I’d completed my run I popped in for a morning cuppa.

Preparing to walk home (about 20 min walk) I logged an Outdoor Walk on my Apple watch. But I started to wonder whether I could run home. So I put my tunes on and started to run........and didn’t stop until I got home! I didn’t struggle, I went slow and steady and set myself little distance milestones. I didn’t put pressure on myself to do it as it wasn’t one of my runs. I was obviously in a right frame of mind yesterday.

I am absolutely astounded that I did it. I have never, ever in my life ran non-stop for 15 mins. I feel so accomplished and it’s a wonderful feeling.

Cannot wait to see the further progress I make with this programme - I know it’s still early days and I’m going to hit a wall at some point. But it has been a game changer in terms of changing my attitude and mindset to running. This forum is singlehandedly the most supportive, positive and helpful online group I’ve joined.

So thank you C25k ❤️

Great going! Just be careful not to extend yourself too much.
