Run after Redundancy Letter

Was just about to set off on Week 7, Run 1 when the postie delivered the dreaded letter from work. I've been on furlough since April and started running to help structure my time and let off steam. Pre C25K I would have turned to chocolate receiving bad news, but I still went out to run and wish I had remembered to set Strava as my pace felt like the fastest it has been so far, probably because I swore my way round the route! C25K has definitely helped with physical and mental wellbeing. Time to get on with job search! 😟

Sorry to hear that, it's never nice to happen!

Glad that you're feeling so positive though, that will be a big help with the job search. Also, when you're speaking to potential employers, let them know that during furlough, you wanted to use the time productively, and so set yourself the challenge of becoming fitter and healthier. You've set yourself a goal, and persevered until completion. It may not be a 'work' objective, but it shows you've got the desire to push yourself and see something through.

For now though, use the annoyance/frustration to spur your runs on, sounds like it worked a treat this morning!

Good luck :)
