How do I create a poll?

Hiya

I would like to create a poll to find out how many kilometers, on average, people are running in 30 mins up to a month after having graduated.

I graduated about one month ago and I'm only managing around 3K in 30 mins. I understand I shouldn't be pushing it at this point in time, but would be interesting to know how I compare to others.

Thanks in advance.

4.3 Kilometres is the average that graduates run on run 3 of week 9 when they graduate, you don't need to compare your runs and times with other people who have ran W9R3 or the 5 or 6/30 minute consolidation runs after you graduate, I am not sure which week you are on C25K?

Oh I graduated about a month ago. I'll edit my post and add that.

I think it’s a nice idea .. not as competition, or comparison but as a general point of interest.

I graduated on Sunday, & am about to go for my first consolidation run.

I’m 48, female & ran 3.95km according to map my run. I’ll let you know if that changes over the next month or so ...

Hi,

I graduated on 11/6. Ran my first 5k on 9/6 and my pb to date is 36.06. So still not there but last Saturday I ran 8k in 58 mins. My 5k is consistently around 36/37.

Long and short of it it doesn’t really matter how fast you go or how far you go. As long as you’re moving 😁

Hi!

We conducted a poll of graduate 30 minute distances a couple of years ago:

Not quite what you are asking for, but should give you an idea. (And Chokka )

To help you work towards running further in 30 minutes I suggest you start with a plan to work up to running for longer periods of time. We have a 60 minute training plan over on Bridge to 10K if you are interested?

Ok thanks. I'll definitely be looking at increasing time / distance in the future, so those wil come in handy!

As roseabi says there is a post showing what distance graduates covered at graduation. Trying to create a poll showing what distance people are covering a month or two after graduation would be very difficult to create to give any useful information, partly because of the limitations of the poll structure on this forum but also because many stick at 5k or less while others push onto 10k or more immediately after graduation, which invariably helps them build their pace.

Not what you're looking for?
