Ordinarily I have two days off between weeks, but as I had to have a couple of extra rest days last week due to some over exuberant gardening (that’s how unfit I am), I set out on Week 7 this morning.

Bearing in mind this is the second of four 25 minute runs I felt like I had improved from Thursdays run, I felt more in control - don’t get me wrong, I am still a big lump, and therefore I’m still lolloping rather than running, but once again I am impressing myself with my progress.

I shouldn’t say this, but I feel like the running 30 minute thing is now a formality, I can run 25 minutes, next week will be 28, then I’ll be at the 30.... then I can concentrate on getting my speed better to be able to complete 5km in that time (currently 8-8:20 min per KM)... I’m not so worried about running longer just yet, maybe when I’m lighter and faster I’ll consider it.

Who would have though I’d be talking about running times and speed 8 weeks ago!!

See you at the finish line.

Ps weigh in day tomorrow, so hopefully my post titles will change (for the better!) 🙏

Well done! Seems like we’ve all turned into runners overnight, talking about pace and stuff. Good to read about your confidence in completing the program, but you’re right. We keep getting closer, one run at a time! Good luck!
