Just thought I'd say hi as I'm new to all this. Completed the first day of couch to 5k today and I'm hoping that by reading your stories and encouragement it'll help to push me through to the end. Nice to meet you all 😊 x
Hey!: Just thought I'd say hi as I'm new to all... - Couch to 5K
Hey!
Hi there!... let me be one of the first to welcome you - its a fab forum... I've not been here long but everyone is so friendly... We are all on the same journey just at different stages!... I'm on week 7 now but i didn't find here until week 4. I remember week 1 painfully.. 60 seconds of running... Simples i thought but 20 seconds in i was thinking wow!.. who knew 60 seconds could last so long!
It's a fab plan and it really does work!... I'm sure you will have a fab time running and being part of the forum here will hopefully enhance your experience - we do have giggles and on tough days we pull each other up
Welcome onboard 👍 as Tinytears said it’s great forum to be part off... enjoy your runs and take it slow😂
Welcome to the forums... and great job getting started.
Have a read of the guide to the plan for many tips to make this easier, and more fun healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
You can do this... and it’ll show you that you can do anything... enjoy your journey
Well done for starting the programme! It really is great, you will be amazed at what you achieve 😊 good luck 💪🏻🌈
Welcome. I’ve certainly found the advice and encouragement helpful. I’m a bit of a lazy runner, more of a jogger but I feel that I’m out and doing which is main thing. Don’t push yourself too hard is all I would say. Do it at your pace and don’t get disheartened. Just pick up again next run day and, if you need to, repeat runs. Good luck. Hope you enjoy 😀
Starting out is a great step. Just remember, no matter how slow you think you are, if it's too hard it's not slow enough! Find your inner snail and trust the plan. I'm regularly running (jogging) 5K these days, but I don't think I'll ever do it in 30 minutes.
Stick at it and surprise yourself. It works.
Good luck! I'm having to take things very slowly myself and have had some set-backs but the thing is not to give up, just restart / keep going at a pace that works for you. Repeat runs whenever you feel you need to, have a good playlist to motivate you and give yourself a pat on the back! X
Congrats on taking your first steps on this journey. I’m just about to start week 9 but I didn’t join forum until week 5 and I wish I had earlier. So much encouragement and friendly messages it really pulls you through. I never thought I could get this far at 50 with never running before but i did! Trust the plan, get out and enjoy!
I'm a newbie too! Nice to meet you 😊
